Nō reira, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā tātou katoa.

It is an honour and privilege for me and my family to be part of this community and to work with the proprietor (Christian Renewal Trust), Renew Church, the board of trustees, the parents and the students towards the plans and purposes God has for Renew School.

Renew School developed from vision God planted in our founders in 1977 and the passion of a group of parents to start the school in 1993. It became an Integrated, Special Character, Area School in 1996. Since its inception, it has grown significantly and, by God's grace, has influenced the wider community.

The school exists to assist parents in their children’s education by offering teaching from a Biblical worldview in a Christian environment. Training in Christian values occurs not only in Biblical Studies classes, but across all curriculum areas.  We place high priority on the success of each individual student and aim to develop courses to best fit their needs, striving to maintain good parent-school relationships.

Pupils come from a variety of Christian backgrounds and environments, but these families are committed to the Special Character of the school.

The school has the capacity for 240 students and 35 teachers, aides and support staff.

Enrolling children in Renew School gives parents an opportunity to choose a different and distinctive education environment. Christian Education is based on Biblical principles where respect, honesty and other traditional values are encouraged and expected. The emphasis on developing character in our students results in academic excellence being evident throughout the school.

The staff and I are grateful to work in a place where we can encourage our students that "the name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe" (Proverbs 18:10), that our students are of immeasurable value since they are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), that God says of His people "for I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11), that they can become part of God's people when they understand that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16) and that their lives have purpose because "we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

Blessings,
